Rest at home

Hi everyone :)

Looking forward to tomorrow and weekend?

Me, yes...going over to parents' place to celebrate dad's birthday..

Well, about today..got some well deserved rest at home..At times, it's really well deserved.

Guess I was still tired from running around last weekend and things getting more hectic at work this beginning of week.

For my part, I woke up lazily..read, did some uncluttering and household chores, watched 2 movies on Netflix and cooked..

And my rest day was done!!!

Still feeling a bit wobbly, guess from lack of magnesium in body but feeling more energetic than yesterday.

Also, looking forward to some rest this Sunday:)

I'm off..surely some karaoke with hubby and that'll be it..

Shopping healthy

Week going on well?

Mine ok, bit sleepy..

Well, went shopping today..forgot my mobile in where there was the list of groceries.

But mind you, I remembered lol..and I got to shop healthy..brown bread and lean protein in the basket..

Sorry, I'll be bit short today but getting very sleepy...

Hopefully, I'll get to wake up energetically tomorrow but today was very difficult to wake up.

Technology and its advantages

Howdy?

Tuesday went well?

Mine went ok, bit hectic at work and highlight of the day is that I forgot to wear masks twice today..Hopefully, tomorrow I'll get to remember to wear :)

Well, technology..How do you use it everyday? To read news, social media, recipes, calling relatives and friends, etc..

As for me, I like technology..see, it even allows me to share my thoughts with you.

At times, my day starts with technology...alarm on mobile phone..

And as soon as I'm up, its prayers..again on YouTube..

Then, sending a text to hubby asking about him in the bus :)

Back to mobile phone to listen to songs whilst under the shower.

During the day, asking about friends and relatives..reading news or a book online..

Prior to cooking, checking recipes..also checking out restaurants, social media, etc, etc

As you can see, our lives are intertwined with technology..but we shall know how to use it at its best.

Breakfast with lean protein!!

How was your Monday?

Mine was a bit sleepy but manageable.

Looking forward to a good night of sleep tonight.

Well, breakfast with lean protein is a new habit I got as homework this week..and I guess for life..

Why is that? Because as per naturopath, eating a balance meal with lean protein helps regulate sugar levels in the morning.

Lean protein, unlike its name, does not refer to meat without any fat..but it refers to meat in its natural state.

Try eating fish, organs, seafood, eggs and chicken this week too and enjoy the benefits!!1

Wedding by day!!!

Hello, how was weekend?

Mine was good and wedding very enjoyable.

Me and hubby had a nice time.

Church ceremony in the morning, followed by reception in a hall (gladly this instead of having the reception in the "open air" on a island nearby).

Food was yummy, ambiance top, well danced, cake was good.

All in all, fine wedding..

And happy to be back safe and sound..hopefully no one had Covid-19 there..

Hubby and his surprises

Howdy?

TGIF!!!!!

Loved it today, lazy wake up this morning, got to hairdresser's to get new haircut and well plucked eyebrows..Even hubby got himself a new look and we went afterwards to visit another flat..

Highlight of the day: Upon entering our current flat, saw a bouquet awaiting me in the dining room :)

A a gift packet which contained a LOVE mug :)

Loved them and ofc love hubby.

I thank him for surprising me and may we continue to have many long days ahead, as well wished to us by family and friends.

Off to movie date and peanuts, and looking forward to cousin's wedding tomorrow.

Wedding anniversary - Year 1

You all ok?

Here, chilly, very chilly..like my dad says "The new normal winter" because of climatic change..

Well, first year wedding anniversary today.

Our day was very enjoyable..

Went house-hunting this morning, nice flat, spacious, cool kitchen, but with not-so-great views from the windows.

Then we went to buy some Chinese goodies..think me and hubby have Chinese blood in our veins lol

After that, we headed to Cap Malheureux for some yummy seafood and we even get dessert on your house.

And back home to relax..

Now, chilling with hubby in pjs and off for some game

Living in a flat

Dearies

Howdy?

Work week done for me and looking forward to long weekend :)

Well, me and hubby currently live in a flat..nice neighborhood, lovely neighbours whom I talked about in a previous post. 

Living in a flat has its advantages:

1. Security - no thief has ever visited "our flat"
2. Nice food scents upon entering flat - I can always smell what neighbours are cooking and some cook really yummy foods.
3. Nice neighbours with whom we share food or other goodies.
4. Small and easy to clean

Ofc, there are some other disadvantages like small balcony and doing flat gardening but all in all, its' ok living in a flat.

I'm off to my flat.

Being a Christian

Peeps,

Howdy?

Tomorrow is Friday for me !!!! Lol, took Thursday and Friday off work cause of wedding anniversary (will come to it on Thursday, stay tuned :))

Well, being a Christian..how does that resonate to you?

Any Christian around who want to share their thoughts.

As for me, I was always a believer..I believed in God, but believing in Jesus was another story.

It was kind of weird at first to think of God as being a human but after a session on women in the life of Jesus, it did change my view about that guy..He's divine and I also believe in Him as well as in the Holy Spirit.

I'll definitely 'speak' about my faith in following blogs but I'm glad to be a Christian and trying, as humanely as possible, to step up in Jesus' steps..

Hormones

Howdy?

It's Friday..twas a long week huh..finally over :) and weekend coming yayyyy

So, hormones for today..

Women will recognise themselves..be it PMS, menses or simple cycle routine, hormones rule our lives!!!!

And hormones rule hubbies too lol

Poor mine, he has to bear with me every single day..and with the fatigue condition, hormones get crazy..

Hopefully, hormones will get back in track soon and will ease our lives.

Tips for good hormonal balance: healthy diet, good hours of sleep, some meditation, overall a well-balanced life :)

Karaoke

Howdy? Looking forward to end of week? :)

Me yes, have some family plans and it shall be enjoyable :)

Speaking of karaoke, last time read that Japanese citizens who went to regular karaoke nights live longer.

And since then, me and hubby sang often. 

I noticed that since singing at night, I sleep more soundly and my mood is better :)

We are off to singing a little bit before going to sleep.

Work ambiance :)

Already mid of week huh :) 

How's your week going about?

Mine going about ok, bit hectic at work but managing.

One thing that made my day today is a good moment of laughing and talking with the colleagues:)

There are some trainees who just joined the team and you know how youngsters are, vibrant with energy, naive and all too fun..and hard working!!!

And we had a nice time laughing today, food sharing (one trainee brought home-made pudding and one team leader thought it good to buy some peanuts and share).

Liked that moment.

I'm off for now, feeling super sleepy..And going to some peanuts and movie date with hubby :)

Sleep

Hi dearies

Howdy? And the day?

Mine was ok..bit groggy from not sleeping well last tune but managed throughout the day.

Well, sleep..invest in a good mattress..try to wear socks upon going to bed since it is proven that it regulates your body temperature.

Since me and hubby have tried the essential oils..it feels like we are getting better sleep.

Also, try to go to sleep at the same time each day and wake up at the same time in the morning also.

More tips: sleep in a cool room, wear loose clothes and have triggers to sleep, be it toilet routine, read a nice book or dim your lights.

All in all, forget about the day you had or the day that'll be tomorrow and just relax and breathe and sleep.

Have a nice time in Morpheus' arms.

Health

Peeps

How's beginning of week?

Mine was ok, less hectic than expected and enjoyed the Monday at work.

Bit tricky getting up in the morning as it was really cold with rain..but like some say, it's romantic weather ;)

Well, health? How would you rate yourself? In good health or not so much?

Me, I'm better..managing the adrenal fatigue but there is still room for improvement.

What I sometimes ponder about is that if I could get back in time and change few things in my lifestyle, I'd do so. Would have prevented me from falling that sick,. to have your body crashed is not something you'd even wish for your enemy.

Anyway, what's done done..and all I can do is listen to my body, have rest, strike the right balance between all spheres of my life, take life simple and easy..and at times advise others that work or relationships are not the only things in life.

There is YOU, most important being.

Take care of yourself and don't take your health for granted.

Homemade biryani

How was your Sunday?

Mine was good, hair doings, cooking, quality time with hubby, movie date with boiled peanuts, couldn't be better :)

Well, title says so and house smells of it...Biryani!!!!

First time cooked and it was just yummy.

Why I fight for homemade biryani? Simply because you can put any amount of ingredients you want, without stretching the meat in your plate till the last mouthful..no offense to commercial biryanis but the ones that I often buy is lots of rice, 1 portion of meat, 1 piece of potato and a spoon of cucumber and carrot salad and some pickles.

The home made one is stuffed with ingredients, be it meat, veggies, potatoes and spices all around.

We are in for cooking again!!

Homey Saturday

Howdy? And how's weekend?

My Saturday started nice with some house decluttering. Submitted assignment and lazied down to watch movies.

And liked it.

You'll wonder after how many years I got to homey Saturday. Well, I shall say last year or even this year.

Since I was a teen, I always had something planned on Saturdays, be it tuition or meet up with friends..Then was dates or volunteering..

It was only when I had this adrenal fatigue that I knew it was time for some well-deserved rest.

Well, now I''m back to to healing. It will take time for my body to restore itself but I'll get there, with God's help, hubby's help and naturopath's advice.

Training from home

You ok? It's Friday :)

How was it? Mine was good..relaxing in morning, with some revision..had an assignment in afternoon..

And followed a training from home.

It was so nice following the training from home :) with less disturbances than being at home.

With colleagues, we were wondering that it would be so nice to have followed the training from home the whole week.

Well, overall was nice and did enjoy the training :)

House hunting Part 2

Howdy?

I'm feeling sleepy..Hectic week with trying to follow training at work and attending some work duties at the same time..and dealing with some body inflammation..besides all this, all is well :)

I got a roof over my head, food in my plate, a job, and a hubby to keep me warm, among other things.

Well, we are still on house-hunting mode with hubby and we went to visit a family house earlier.

There were tricky stairs, spacious room, not-so-cool environment but the owners were friendly and we got a brisk walking session to and from the house.

Tips for house-hunting: check if price is within your budget, check location (surroundings, views, bus-friendly, amenities around) and check with your gut feeling.

I'm off..eyes are starting to close lol

Physical exercise

Hello all

Already mid of work week huh..and I'm doing good..

Better today, did not follow course online and did not drink magnesium supplement..We'll see what caused the lack of energy.

Going to physical exercise, doctors recommend doing 15/30 minutes of physical exercise few times a week or if you can, every day for health benefits.

I won't extend on the health benefits (I'm sure you all know about them!!) but I'll convey gratitude to being able to exercise nearly every day,

I work in the center of the town in which I live and I got to walk to go to work every day. It's not a walk in the park but it's around 25 minutes of casual walking. I like less the motor sounds on the busy roads which I take and even less the smoke pollution but I do like the walking.

Ofc, first few days was like difficult but after I got used to it, it's cool.

On Saturdays, me and hubby go to fetch bread (another 40 minutes walk to and from the bakery) and on Sundays, it's lazy day lol.

Tip of the day: try to do exercise at home or at your convenience. I hear many friends going to gyms and hiring personal trainers. I do not have anything against these but be mindful that exercise can be done for free or that if you are paying for these fees, to maximise your money.

Essential oils

People,

How's it going?

On my part, bit tired from following online training at work and from drinking magnesium but shall be ok :)

And today, it's our one-year civil wedding anniversary. Souvenirs souvenirs :)

We lost cheek and love handles over the year but our love is definitely growing stronger. 

Well, let's talk about essential oils.

Learnt from naturopath that lavender oils make us feel relaxed and citrus oils, when spraying some droplets on your pillow, will help you a good night's sleep.

Tried lavender oil during the day and it smelled nice and sprayed some citrus droplets on our pillows. So, we'll see if the theory proves itself.

And cherry on the cake, the sewage system of whole flat building got lousy today and you can imagine the scent right now in our flat. But thanks to the citrus droplets, our bedroom smells nice.

Tip: Do get some essential oils (you can also use a burner or a travel format) for benefits.

I'm off to an air-freshened flat.

Laughing

Dearies,

How was your Monday?

Mine was ok..with some training drama at work but eventually could attend..

Why laughing as title today?

It's because had a nice laugh with colleagues.

I just changed team but it was so relaxing to be with my ex-teammates.

We talked, laughed, gossiped and all this made me feel good.

Even though I'm sometimes the serious type, I'm trying these days to loosen up, to take things lightly with a humorous touch.

I remember reading one story where the author was very tired, even depressed about things in life and she started reading jokes, watching comedies and taking things lightly.

Another story was about a man who got into a serious accident and the doctors told him that he would never recover. He proved them wrong by following a laughter therapy and patients even complained about his laugh noises that the doctors got him transferred to another. And he recovered fully!!!

Morale of the stories: Laugh till your belly hurts, it will do your health good and you can recover from whatever illness you may have.

Peeps, howdy?

How was Sunday and weekend?

Mine was ok, trying out new supplements, cooking with hubby, movie, mass..

Too bad weekend is over huh..but looking forward to the next one :)

Today wanted to write about blogging and its benefits.

Are you a blogger? or just a reader?

I am more of a reader than a writer but since I got to writing, it seems easy, like the words flow out of mind and directly "on paper". I like that feeling of just outpouring emotions, feelings, opinions, etc.

It's not for the sake of reader that I write but because blogging makes me take time for myself (even if it's just 5 minutes)) but there's self-satisfaction.

I wanted to thank my no 1 fan (who'll read my blog in a few and he will recognize himself), I thank him for reading whatever I may want to write and I love him (I'll surely talk about him in another blog).

Tip of the day: start a blog as a hobby and you'll smile more as its therapeutic.

Chinatown :)

All good?

Me, yes..today went house hunting with hubby.. Nice options seen on which we will ponder and pray on.

But let me speak of Chinatown.

One flat we went to visit was in Chinatown. Very animated, with Chinese shops and CHINESE DELICACIES :)

We heard some music and went to inquire. It was a group of youth singing and playing instruments. And they were playing next to a Chinese shop. Ofc, we went in and aha, lots of Chinese delicacies on sale.

We bought some for tea time and was super yummy. And made us long for more but that would be for another trip.

Brainstorming :)

Howdy?

It's Friday!!!! Welcoming the weekend and some fun activities to come.

Why the title?

Just because me and hubby don't have television at home. So, our dinners extend and cover any possible topic. And we like that :)

We keep on talking and talking until it's time to go do the dishes, prepare food for the next day, etc.

Tip of the day: switch off tv when you eat (eliminate distractions and food digestion is better). This will help you have deeper conversations with significant other or family. Or if you're single, to have a serious conversation with your food and do mindful eating.

Attitude at work :)

Howdy?

Last time, I did a tribute to my colleagues and today, I want to share something about attitude at work.

I asked the type of colleagues that you were and I would like to come back to this point.

How are your work relationships? Are colleagues eager to work with you? Or do they dread you coming in your team? 

That's definitely a point to ponder.

I would suggest to be courteous with everyone, from the cleaning lady to the director. Each person is there to do his/her job and it's of no use feeling superior at the office. Won't bring you nothing but disdain from others.

Always ask about others' health, interests and throw genuine compliments. Chit chat with colleagues at the water fountain and if you remember birthdays, wish the colleagues. Speak calmly and respect colleagues for who they are, even if they do make mistakes (who doesn't). Don't joke on anything sensitive and don't make fun of colleagues.

On that note, I'm off for today.

House hunting :)

Ready for the next half year?

I am and definitely sure the next 6 months will bring on some good news.

Looking forward to some couple plans with hubby, family plans, cousin's wedding,etc :)

Coming to the title, well me and hubby are currently house-hunting.

We are living in cozy flat since 1 year already but we want something that's ours and we have decided to go have a look at what's being sold on the market.

It's interesting to go see houses on construction or flat that has been here since 45 years already.

We are listing down criteria which we find important, giving ratings to houses and thinking of financial loan repayment options. Looks a nice assignment to finish off the year.

And ofc, praying to get the house of our dreams.

I prayed to have the perfect hubby and I got him. So, now think the Lord shall grant us the perfect house for us, as He wish,

I'll keep you posted on this house-hunting.
